I run a small business, selling trampolines, table tennis tables , climbing frames, pool tables, and the complete range of Outdoor Toys. Obviously we are highly seasonal which controls much of our strategy and planning, affecting our plans for cash flow, staff recruitment and stock control.
Its the seasonality which makes the business so challenging. It seems impossible to get a season absolutely right, especially when the weather has such a significant impact.
We get much of the stock manufactured in China, so exchange rates, and world economic issues have an interest for us, as so issues of corporate responsibility.
This blog is about running our small business, the challenges we face, the thoughts we have. Selling trampolines and outdoor toys is fun. People buy the products with a smile on their face and a positive mindset, making this a fun place to work.
